Aircraft Inspector at CXO MX, LLC (A&P/IA)
Company Overview: CXO MX, LLC, a general aviation maintenance facility, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) with Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our dynamic team at the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport. Our focus is on maintaining general aviation piston aircraft to the highest standards of safety. Our customers include owners and operators of Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft, and other piston aircraft models.
Role Overview: As an Aircraft Inspector at CXO MX, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet to the highest standards, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency in all maintenance operations. You will be responsible for comprehensive inspections and meticulous record-keeping, contributing to our commitment to superior service. Opportunities for advancement may include Chief Inspector or Director of Maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in General Aviation: Deep knowledge of general aviation fixed-wing piston aircraft.
- Maintenance and Record-Keeping Acumen: Proficiency in aircraft maintenance practices and thorough understanding of record-keeping requirements.
- Professional Attributes: Strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to aircraft owners.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing maintenance records and conducting aircraft research.
- Performing visual and mechanical inspections of aircraft.
- Conducting routine and preventative maintenance, ensuring all aircraft meet operational and safety standards.
- Preparing and reviewing equipment lists.
- Assisting sales representatives with aircraft maintenance reviews.
- Maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Providing timely updates on the maintenance status of aircraft.
Qualifications:
- A&P Mechanic certification with Inspection Authorization.
- At least 3 years of experience in piston aircraft maintenance and inspections.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
- Independent work capabilities.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Passing pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with multiple aircraft models.
- Experience with Quantum MX maintenance software.
- Part 145 repair station experience is a plus.

- Vacation/Paid Time Off: Earned with tenure, ranging from 1 week (1-2 years) up to 4 weeks (11-20 years), starting after 6 months.
Work Hours and Compensation:
- Normal working hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Starting pay is $30-50 per hour, depending on experience, with an opportunity for advancement.
